Fall Fun

Fall is tricky around here. Near freezing overnight. 50 when the alarm clock rings. 80 by the time lunch rolls around. Makes the task of planning wardrobes on par with negotiating the next peace treaty.

Despite having a few too many layers on (even one we got down to short sleeves), the girls and I had a blast on our annual pilgrimage to Cox Farms' Fall Festival.

This year the math was as tricky as the weather. 1 adult + 3 kids (+ thousands and thousands of strangers). But it actually worked out beautifully.

The girls are in the "Pooh Bear" kindergarten class @ school!

Lily and her friend held hands the ENTIRE day (including when they went down slides!). They stuck close to the two-seater off-road stroller I brought along for the day. They were super sweet to Anna. And the group of girls successfully voted on which attraction to visit each time we had to decide where to go next. No tears. No disagreements. No headache for me. Smile...

Makes me wonder if 3 is the magic number for kids. Boy was the dynamic nice! (Of course, it could have had something to do with the fresh apple cider and popsicles too...)

Sisters

Sometimes they can be so sweet it makes me think I want a dozen more.

(Fear not, I always come to my senses... We live in N. Arlington, not NW Arkansas, after all!)
